Position Overview
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer will spearhead and execute Lean and Lean Six Sigma projects to elevate departmental efficiency in line with broader organizational goals. As a pivotal member of the team, you will collaborate with various departments and, where relevant, external stakeholders to foster operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion cultural change by guiding the adoption of effective process improvement techniques and resolving obstacles hindering project success.
- Lead business improvement initiatives within assigned departments, encompassing data analysis, planning, change management, and delivering CI methodology training such as Lean manufacturing.
- Co-own continuous process enhancement efforts alongside department management.
- Impact core departmental processes, facilitate peer interactions for best practice sharing and problem-solving, and oversee VOS communications, training, and education efforts at the facility.
- Conduct baseline analyses of business processes and financials for continuous measurement and improvement.
- Collaborate with department leaders to devise and implement VOS strategic plans.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant is a results-oriented professional with demonstrated operational leadership and experience managing diverse teams to fulfill shared objectives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and associated business applications (word processing, spreadsheets, statistical analysis, presentations) is essential. Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving aptitudes are required, alongside the ability to function effectively at all organizational levels within matrix environments.
