Job Overview

As a Cook at Pizza Inn, you will be trained to handle multiple kitchen roles including Buffet Captain, Cut Pack, Pizza Maker, and Dough Maker. Success requires maintaining a professional appearance, adherence to safety and sanitation rules, and a strong focus on teamwork and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace by following a "clean as you go" policy and the 7 steps of phone procedures.
• Follow Pizza Inn's Portion Control Charts accurately to ensure proper food quality, freshness, temperature, taste, and appearance.
• Demonstrate urgency and efficiency in all tasks, including equipment management and interdepartmental communication.
• Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation standards to manage food inventory properly.
• As Buffet Captain: prepare and set up vegetable prep areas, make table ingredients, replenish buffet items, ensure variety and cleanliness of the buffet bar, and manage correct labeling and storage.
• As Cut Pack: prepare all orders for dine-in, buffet, and delivery; sample and identify products and ingredients; complete side work; open and close stations properly; minimize waste and control food costs.
• As Pizza Maker: prepare specialty pizzas adhering to portion control and baking procedures; read guest orders and POS systems; maintain buffet rotations; restock and label items; minimize waste.
• As Dough Maker: produce consistent dough following exact recipes and weights; monitor dough quality; perform post mix preparations; understand and use par charts; maintain proper labeling and shelf life awareness; complete all station responsibilities correctly.

Compensation

Starting pay is $7.25 per hour.
