About the Role

As a Customer Delivery Driver representing Tesco, you will directly engage with customers at their homes, providing a valuable service beyond just driving. This position involves physical tasks and varied daily duties, requiring independence on the road with management support at the base when needed.

Availability

• Sunday: 09:00 - 18:00
• Thursday: 19:00 - 23:00
• Friday: 19:00 - 23:00

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and workspace to ensure perfect condition of orders.
• Load the van safely and conduct pre-delivery checks to confirm roadworthiness and reliability.
• Communicate politely with customers regarding any order changes, substitutions, or near-expiry products, handling refunds smoothly to preserve positive experiences.
• Handle products carefully, treating orders with personal care to uphold quality and customer trust.
• Deliver orders punctually within allotted timeslots, offering friendly and genuine service that makes customers feel appreciated.

Requirements

• Build positive relationships with team members to foster a collaborative environment.
• Show a warm and welcoming attitude toward customers and colleagues alike.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and embrace flexibility both on the road and at the store.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA full or automatic driving license for at least 12 months without more than three penalty points.
