Role Overview

We invite you to advance your career in Data Science and Data Engineering within a dynamic, agile team. Your work will focus on designing, developing, and automating data pipelines, as well as building data-driven analytical and modeling solutions for our information products.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and enhance robust data pipelines to prepare, transform, and harmonize large geospatial datasets, using tools like FME, Python, and ETL workflows.
Create data-driven analysis and modeling approaches to convert heterogeneous raw data into consistent, high-quality information products.
Ensure exceptional data quality through validation, monitoring, and quality assurance processes while continuously updating data foundations.
Collaborate closely with software development and sales teams to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
Engage in a varied workload within an innovative tech company and maintain collaborative cooperation within the team.
Maintain software and data quality standards.
Contribute actively to team culture and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Candidate Profile

A completed degree in (Geo- or Business) Informatics, Data Science, Physics, Mathematics, or an equivalent qualification.
Strong experience in preparing, transforming, and analyzing structured and unstructured geospatial data, ideally with FME or similar ETL tools.
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Polars.
Practical experience developing data pipelines.
Understanding of data architectures, APIs, and microservices.
Commitment to high data and software quality and enthusiasm for automating repetitive tasks.
Experience in data analysis within real estate or energy sectors (e.g., energy demand, renewable energies, location and potential analyses) is advantageous.
Strong analytical skills, a structured approach to work, and the capability to quickly grasp complex technical issues.
Team player mentality, self-motivation, and eagerness for ongoing professional and technological development.
Additional skills considered beneficial include AWS, Terraform, Web-GIS/Webmapping (e.g., MapLibre), and Java/Spring Boot.
