Delivery Driver

Role overview

Casey’s Furniture is seeking a dependable, customer-oriented Delivery Driver to join its transport function. This role is focused on delivering furniture safely and professionally to customers’ homes, with a strong emphasis on service quality, care, and representing the brand well at every doorstep.

The position may be based in Cork, Limerick, or Dublin. The work goes beyond simple transport tasks: you will interact directly with customers, handle products carefully, assemble and place items when needed, and help ensure each delivery is completed to a high standard.

Key duties

• Carry out daily checks on the vehicle and confirm it is safe and ready for use.
• Operate trucks and vans in a lawful and responsible manner, following all company and road safety requirements.
• Promptly report any accidents, incidents, or defects involving the vehicle.
• Keep vehicles clean, tidy, and professionally presented.
• Deliver furniture with a focus on quality, care, and damage prevention.
• Call customers ahead of arrival to give them a delivery update.
• Complete checks before and after each delivery.
• Assemble and position furniture inside customers’ homes when required.
• Remove packaging materials and leave the area clean and orderly.
• Keep accurate delivery records and complete all required paperwork or digital records.
• Use delivery devices and mobile applications efficiently.
• Escalate unsuccessful deliveries or any delivery-related issues in the correct way.
• Provide a polished, respectful, and friendly in-home customer experience.
• Treat customers, their homes, and their property with care and professionalism.
• Communicate clearly and courteously at all times.
• Photograph and report customer service concerns when necessary.
• Represent the Casey’s brand positively in all customer interactions.
• Look after tools, delivery equipment, and safety gear.
• Support warehouse and transport activities when needed.
• Assist with recycling and waste handling processes.
• Take on additional duties relevant to the role as required.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate will hold a full clean driving licence and a C licence, and will bring strong customer service skills, good communication, and a careful approach to handling furniture. You should be safety-conscious, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working as part of a team.

Experience in furniture delivery, logistics, or home delivery is beneficial, but not essential. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to lift and assemble furniture safely are important for success in this role.
