Role Overview

The Electrical Engineer will contribute to engineering and construction projects by designing, reviewing, and implementing electrical systems encompassing power distribution, control panels, and electrical components within MEP scopes. Daily tasks include developing technical drawings and specifications, conducting load calculations, coordinating with project managers, site personnel, and multidisciplinary engineering teams, while ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations. The position involves overseeing installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting electrical challenges, and preparing detailed technical documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

• A thorough understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals including power systems, control circuits, and MEP electrical design.
• Competence in electrical design and drafting software like AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalents, alongside knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as IEC, NFPA, and local regulations.
• Experience managing on-site supervision, testing, commissioning, and resolving issues related to electrical installs in construction or industrial contexts.
• Skill in producing precise technical documents, including drawings, bills of quantities, specifications, and reports.
• Strong communication and collaboration capabilities to interact effectively with diverse teams, contractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline; certifications or professional engineering affiliations are advantageous.
• Prior work experience in Qatar or the GCC region and an understanding of local authority approval processes is preferred.

Working Conditions

This full-time role requires primarily on-site presence at project locations and company offices in Qatar, supplemented by some remote work depending on business requirements.
