Entry-Level Software Developer

Role overview

We are seeking a motivated entry-level software developer to become part of a development team in Australia. This full-time position is suited to fresh graduates and early-career candidates who want practical experience in building, testing, improving, and supporting software products.

The selected candidate will collaborate with experienced engineers and other departments to deliver useful solutions, enhance existing systems, and contribute across the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Help with the design, build, testing, and upkeep of software applications.
• Produce code that is clean, efficient, and aligned with coding standards and best practices.
• Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and fixing technical issues.
• Take part in software testing, code reviews, and quality checks.
• Work with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to meet project needs.
• Support the delivery of new features, upgrades, and system enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and development records.
• Learn and use current development tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Keep track of new technologies and industry developments.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Foundational knowledge of programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, PHP, or similar.
• Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and core software development concepts.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational database systems.
• Awareness of HTML, CSS, and web development fundamentals is an added advantage.
• Prior exposure to Git or another version control system is preferred.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communication and a collaborative attitude.
• Willingness to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment.
