Fire Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fire Technician to work onsite in Eastern Saudi Arabia, specifically in Jubail and Yanbu. The role focuses on inspecting, testing, and maintaining firefighting equipment, fire alarm systems, and gas detection devices to ensure safety for people and assets by complying with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of firefighting equipment onsite to verify operational integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Test fire alarm systems, including smoke detectors, alarms, and control panels, to confirm they are functioning correctly.
• Document inspection and testing outcomes, recommending necessary repairs and improvements.
• Carry out preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubrication, and replacing parts following manufacturer and regulatory standards.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in fire alarm systems through corrective maintenance to return systems to full operation.
• Install and commission firefighting equipment, fire alarms, and gas detection systems according to project requirements.
• Ensure all activities comply with NFPA standards, manufacturer specifications, and local fire safety legislation.
• Adhere to safety procedures and utilize appropriate tools during all tasks.
• Produce detailed reports on system inspections and any maintenance actions performed.
• Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, foremen, and project teams to maintain schedules and workflow efficiency.
• Maintain clear communication with clients about system functionality and maintenance needs.

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or certification in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in installation and maintenance of fire alarm and gas detection systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of NFPA standards and fire safety protocols.
• Capability to read and understand technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
