Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Fleet Specialist based in Oamaru, New Zealand, to support the maintenance and optimal performance of Halter’s on-farm hardware equipment. This position requires frequent travel within the South Island and occasionally throughout New Zealand. The role involves hands-on hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, deployment support, and continual system improvements to ensure minimal downtime for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Halter’s hardware infrastructure to ensure reliable farm operations.
• Diagnose hardware faults and communicate findings clearly with internal teams.
• Flexibly handle tasks including infrastructure repair, upgrades, and deployment of new equipment such as towers and livestock collars.
• Provide on-site assistance during hardware installation andrelated troubleshooting.
• Participate in a global on-call rotation to address tower-related incidents promptly.
• Collaborate effectively with product development, hardware, and customer success teams to enhance service quality and customer experience.
• Analyze data from hardware devices to identify process improvements, support decision-making, and develop a maintenance system tailored for New Zealand’s market.
• Travel regularly within the South Island and on occasion to other regions within the country, often spending several days and nights away from home.
