Full-Stack Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to design and enhance a sophisticated creative platform tailored for workflows that demand intensive design efforts. This position bridges intricate, interactive front-end interfaces with robust, scalable backend infrastructures, encompassing everything from finely tuned UI components to the supporting production environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development across the technology stack, including APIs, backend services, and visually rich, design-focused web frontends.
• Assume accountability for features across their entire lifecycle: development, testing, documentation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Create high-performance, responsive frontend experiences with pixel-perfect fidelity using modern web frameworks and component architectures.
• Design and maintain backend services optimized for heavy traffic, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Develop and oversee sandboxed environments for isolated development and testing of platform instances.
• Manage deployment processes and infrastructure on Kubernetes clusters ensuring consistent and observable releases.
• Integrate AI-assisted engineering tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) effectively into the development workflow and guide team adoption of these technologies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, build, platform, and security teams to translate requirements into high-quality user features, managing technical scope and constraints early on.
• Participate actively in code reviews to uphold engineering excellence and maintain team-wide coding standards.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or graduate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Advanced skills in modern frontend development, particularly with React, focused on building interactive, design-intensive and high-performance user interfaces.
• Backend development expertise with scalable production services using languages like Node.js, Java, Python, Go, or similar technologies.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes-based deployments, including container orchestration, configuration, and cluster management.
• A strong background in using AI-supported development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor and enthusiasm for AI-enhanced engineering practices.
• Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment pipelines and comfort operating in dynamic and fast-evolving engineering environments.
• Demonstrated engineering craftsmanship with clean, production-worthy code, opinions on testing, local development ergonomics, and maintainability as codebases grow.
• Understanding of web performance optimization, API development, and distributed systems architecture fundamentals.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate across disciplines.
• Ability to thrive under rapid pace and shifting priorities while preserving high code quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating or managing sandboxed instances for multi-tenant or segregated workloads.
• Background working with build systems, component libraries, or tight collaboration with teams focused on implementation quality.
• Knowledge of production observability tools such as logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Contributions to developer tooling, internal platforms, or infrastructure aimed at enhancing team productivity.

Compensation Range

Compensation varies by U.S. regions with an annual salary ranging approximately from $139,000 to $257,550, depending on location, experience, and skill set. In California specifically, salaries range from $177,900 to $257,550. Additional incentives such as equity awards and annual incentive plans may apply.
