About the Role

This opening is presented on behalf of a partner organization managing all candidate interactions. The company seeks an IT Specialist located in Canada to join their team remotely.

This role is ideal for a proactive IT professional who thrives on resolving technical issues and supporting a geographically dispersed workforce. Responsibilities include delivering remote technical assistance, maintaining critical IT infrastructure, and ensuring users have the necessary tools to work efficiently. Primary Responsibilities

Deliver first-line IT support remotely for employees across North America, quickly resolving issues related to hardware, software, networking, and VPN connectivity, prioritizing first-contact resolution.
Set up, image, deploy, and upkeep desktop and laptop computers, ensuring operating system images align with current standards and compliance protocols.
Manage user accounts for business applications and maintain comprehensive records of IT assets, software licensing, and system documentation.
Support upkeep of corporate and client websites; manage hardware inventory including peripherals and printers.
Create and update end-user manuals, technical documentation, and knowledge resources to enhance efficiency and empower users towards self-service.
Proactively diagnose technical problems, suggest operational improvements, and aid continual IT service enhancements in a remote environment.

Required Qualifications & Experience

At least 1 to 3 years of IT professional experience, with a minimum of 2 years providing support for Microsoft Windows desktop environments in operational settings.
A college diploma or equivalent credential in Information Technology or related fields; supplementary education in Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications is advantageous.
Deep familiarity with Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Office suite, and PC imaging and deployment strategies.
Competence with antivirus solutions, malware removal procedures, and endpoint support best practices.
Basic knowledge of networking principles including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and the use of standard network troubleshooting tools.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities coupled with a capacity to rapidly acquire new technical skills and software platforms.
Outstanding organizational, communication, and time management skills to independently manage multiple tasks.
Fluency in English and French is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
Prior experience working effectively in remote or home-office settings is preferred.
