IT Systems Administrator

Position Overview

This role entails managing and overseeing both Linux and Windows server environments to achieve optimal uptime and dependability in a remote contract capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate Linux and Windows servers ensuring high reliability and availability.
• Configure system settings applying industry best practices to enhance scalability and performance.
• Develop and enforce security protocols to protect IT infrastructure.
• Quickly diagnose and fix technical problems to minimize operational downtime.
• Continuously monitor system metrics to detect and resolve potential performance issues.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external IT stakeholders to implement effective technical solutions.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in administering Linux and Windows systems within enterprise environments.
• Extensive skills in configuring and optimizing IT systems end-to-end.
• Capability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure challenges.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards and best practices.
• Highly motivated, well-organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

Compensation and Commitment

The position is contract-based, offering between $25 and $60 per hour, with expected weekly hours ranging from 10 to 40.
