Role Summary

The Junior Network Assurance Engineer, reporting to the NOC Manager, aids in commissioning, validating, and transitioning network services into steady-state operational support. Collaborating with Project Managers, Commissioning Engineers, and Network Operations, this role ensures that new network rollouts are thoroughly tested, documented, and ready for daily operations while maintaining high quality standards and enabling successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Commission and validate newly installed network infrastructure components.
• Assist with onboarding wireless access points, routers, switches, WAN devices, and point-to-point connections.
• Conduct customer go-live checks including SSID validation, internet connectivity, end-to-end network functionality, post-installation testing, and verification against acceptance criteria.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for commissioning and handovers.
• Facilitate transition of completed customer sites into ongoing Business as Usual (BAU) operational support.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, provisioning teams, and NOC to ensure project delivery success.
• Contribute to achieving team objectives and operational performance targets to support Wifinity's wider business goals.
• Perform additional tasks aligned with the role's scope and responsibilities.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has enthusiasm for networking and IT systems, pursues continual technical growth, communicates effectively, and emphasizes customer-focused, quality service delivery. Careful attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting are essential.

Mandatory Qualifications and Skills

• Sound knowledge of networking basics and TCP/IP concepts.
• Familiarity with routing and switching principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic background such as a degree, apprenticeship, or college qualification in Computer Networks, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Hands-on networking experience gained via home labs, academic projects, internships, or previous roles.
• Understanding of enterprise-level networking concepts.
• Progress towards or certification in entry-level network credentials like CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, MikroTik MTCNA, or similar.
