Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical maintenance activities related to Boiler, Turbine, and Generator units.
  • Strategically plan and oversee maintenance operations to ensure BTG system availability and operational excellence.
  • Implement proactive maintenance measures including standard operating procedures, job safety analyses, and systematic maintenance plans to avoid equipment failures.
  • Supervise testing and monitoring of electrical equipment, ensuring parameter compliance and initiating prompt corrective action when required.
  • Coordinate scheduling and execution of shutdowns, annual overhauls, and other maintenance projects within scheduled timelines.
  • Perform detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis to effectively resolve equipment failures and prevent recurrence.
  • Implement recommendations from root cause analysis, management of change frameworks, failure mode analyses, zero fault opportunities, and ensure adherence to technical audits like ISO, IWMS, and 5S standards.
  • Ensure preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance tasks are completed timely.
  • Assist in budgeting and planning for BTG electrical maintenance activities.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, emphasizing development of indigenous spares to optimize costs and availability.
  • Oversee execution of improvement projects for BTG and related equipment, ensuring objectives are met.
  • Supervise and evaluate performance of business associates, ensuring standards are maintained and bills are verified.
  • Manage purchase requests in accordance with delegation of authority policies.
  • Monitor the condition and availability of all BTG electrical equipment including excitation systems, switchgears, motors, electrical systems, ESP, elevators, DG sets, variable frequency drives, cranes, and hoists.
  • Ensure timely repair and refurbishment of equipment in associated areas.
  • Ensure closure of maintenance notifications promptly in SAP system.
  • Participate in cross-site knowledge sharing to enhance maintenance capabilities and standards.
  • Ensure compliance to Integrated Management Systems, AWMS, DISHA, ABEM, CHETNA guidelines, and safety protocols.
  • Conduct and monitor regular technical audits and safety drills to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Maintain and update work orders and notifications in SAP, identifying opportunities for system upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements including electrical licenses and elevator certifications.
  • Lead and contribute to digitalization and automation initiatives to increase operational efficiency.
  • Promote adoption of new technologies and innovative maintenance solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement by regularly reviewing and optimizing maintenance processes and systems.
