Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to become part of our expanding team at a leading MEP Contracting firm based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This opportunity demands 5 to 10 years of solid experience in MEP and construction projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee on-site mechanical activities ensuring alignment with project specifications and approved technical drawings.
• Collaborate closely with civil, electrical, and structural teams to integrate mechanical systems smoothly within overall project execution.
• Supervise the installation processes for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical systems.
• Guarantee adherence of all mechanical work to relevant standards, codes, and quality benchmarks.
• Monitor project timelines and engage with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure deadlines are met.
• Review and analyze mechanical drawings, technical documents, and specifications for compliance and accuracy.
• Provide prompt technical support and troubleshoot engineering challenges on site.
• Develop method statements, conduct risk assessments, and aid project planning tasks.
• Implement and uphold health, safety, and environmental protocols through routine inspections and audits.
• Participate in site meetings, relaying progress updates to management teams.
• Maintain thorough documentation, including daily reports, progress tracking, and material logs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is mandatory.
• Between five and ten years of relevant experience in MEP or construction contracting projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and mechanical systems.
• Expertise in site execution, commissioning, quality management, and project coordination.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications with precision.
• Excellent communication abilities coupled with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
