नोकरीचे वर्णन
Role overview
University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a proactive, well-organised and adaptable person to help with patient booking and front-desk duties in its Imaging Business Unit.
The Imaging Business Unit is a varied and dynamic service area, delivering care across two acute hospitals — Royal Derby Hospital and Queen's Hospital Burton — plus seven community locations across Derbyshire and East Staffordshire.
What the role involves
You will carry out reception work along with administrative and clerical support for organising patients who need diagnostic investigations across several imaging services, including X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine and Bone Density.
The post offers scope to grow your experience within administrative, clerical and clinical teams in Imaging.
What the team is looking for
The Trust is seeking someone who communicates clearly, can work effectively with patients and colleagues, and stays calm and organised in a busy setting. You should be comfortable juggling tasks, managing time well and working under pressure. Because the role supports multiple UHDB sites, flexibility is essential.
Applicants should already have experience in a busy customer-facing or care setting, or bring call-handling and reception experience. Previous use of IT systems and/or appointment systems is expected, although training will be provided.
Core requirements include education in English Language and Mathematics to O level or GCSE standard, good IT skills, strong written and spoken communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team with limited supervision.
Important dates
Closing date for applications: 6 July 2026.
Interview date: 17 July 2026.
