  • Reconcile payroll data with the General Ledger and investigate any discrepancies to ensure accurate postings.
  • Analyze payroll datasets, detect variances and complex issues, determine root causes, and facilitate timely resolution.
  • Monitor payroll system configurations and data integrity, including tax tables, earning and deduction codes, and ledger mappings.
  • Contribute to SAP Employee Central Payroll projects such as upgrades, migrations, configuration changes, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Assist with payroll audits and governance, refining policies, procedures, and controls to bolster payroll accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, and external partners, offering technical support and guidance to team members where necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proficient in payroll reporting, reconciliation, and data analysis, skilled at identifying discrepancies and ensuring payroll accuracy.
  • Experienced with SAP Employee Central Payroll or similar enterprise payroll platforms, familiar with payroll data, processes, and compliance controls.
  • Knowledgeable of Australian payroll compliance including PAYG, superannuation, STP, Fringe Benefits Tax, and relevant procedures and policies.
  • Ability to interpret payroll-related employment contracts, industrial agreements, awards, legislation, and internal policies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills enabling management, reconciliation, and analysis of large, complex payroll data sets using formulas and pivot tables.
  • Strong attention to detail, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information with effective stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Skills
