Private Equity Associate

About the Role

Blacklock Group is collaborating with a prominent private equity firm that specializes in investments within the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT), Consumer, Sports, and Media sectors. The firm works closely with management teams to develop leading businesses by combining deep sector knowledge, operational expertise, and disciplined investment practices. The team culture is highly collaborative, offering extensive interaction with senior leaders and executives from portfolio companies. This position entails significant responsibility and involvement throughout the entire investment process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain detailed financial models including Leveraged Buyouts (LBO), operational projections, and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) analyses.
• Perform industry research and assess competitive landscapes.
• Lead principal due diligence efforts and coordinate with external consultants.
• Create detailed investment memorandums and prepare materials for Investment Committee review.
• Assist with transaction structuring and facilitate deal closings.
• Monitor the performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) of portfolio companies.
• Contribute to strategic and operational value enhancement projects.
• Support activities related to add-on acquisitions and exit strategies.

Candidate Qualifications

• Possess 2 to 4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisory roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Strong interest in media, communications, or digital business sectors.
• Excellent analytical capabilities paired with strong communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to oversee several projects simultaneously.
