Procurement Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a commercially savvy Procurement Manager to join our expanding pharmaceutical sourcing team. This key position focuses on securing comparator medicines and supporting the successful delivery of global clinical trial supply projects. Based remotely in Germany, this is a permanent full-time role.

Primary Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with international pharmaceutical suppliers, wholesalers, and manufacturers.
• Procure comparator medicines and other pharmaceutical products essential for clinical trial supplies.
• Conduct negotiations on pricing, discounts, and commercial contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal terms.
• Oversee the complete ordering lifecycle ensuring all deliveries meet timelines, quality standards, and required specifications.
• Identify potential supply chain risks and proactively implement strategies to reduce disruptions.
• Broaden and enhance the global supplier base through thorough market research and supplier evaluation.
• Track and analyze procurement metrics and key performance indicators to gauge sourcing effectiveness.
• Work closely with account management teams to assist with client proposals, quotations, and ongoing project execution.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to Good Distribution Practice (GDP), regulatory compliance, and internal quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Prior experience in pharmaceutical procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or vendor relationship management is essential.
• Demonstrated strength in negotiation and managing supplier relationships.
• Commercially aware with a keen eye for identifying cost reduction opportunities.
• Ability to confidently engage with both internal teams and external stakeholders across varied international markets.
