Role Overview

The Program Management Office Analyst will play a key role in supporting the coordination, planning, and monitoring of various research and development projects conducted by the Institute of Metal Forming. Working remotely on a part-time basis, the analyst will manage project documentation, track progress against milestones, prepare comprehensive status reports and dashboards, and facilitate communication and collaboration among project leads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect and consolidate project information from multiple sources to keep project and program documentation up to date.
  • Prepare periodic updates on project status including dashboards and summary reports for leadership review.
  • Coordinate effectively with project leads to ensure alignment of timelines and resource allocations.
  • Assist in planning activities related to resources and project schedules for various initiatives.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of program management procedures and processes within the institute.
  • Support communication efforts between different research groups and ensure projects align with institutional priorities and funding criteria.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret and derive insights from project data and trends.
  • Proven skills in project and program management, including experience with execution, monitoring, and iterative process improvements.
  • Background in managing diverse project portfolios encompassing prioritization, risk management, and progress tracking.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and preparing detailed reports and presentations.
  • Academic credentials in engineering, materials science, management, or related fields; prior experience in research or academic settings is advantageous.
  • Competence with project management tools such as MS Office suite, spreadsheets, and specialized project tracking software; detail orientation and systematic work habits.
  • Capable of working independently in a remote environment while juggling multiple tasks accurately and reliably.
  • Interest or background in metal forming, materials processing, or industrial production technologies is considered a plus.
