Programme Officer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Programme Officer based in Harare, Zimbabwe, to lead and coordinate various programme activities and projects effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring project performance, budget management, and ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned to timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the coordination and implementation of programme activities and deliverables.
• Oversee budgets, work plans, and project performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance and timely submission of comprehensive narrative and progress reports to stakeholders.
• Develop knowledge products regularly, documenting lessons learned, success stories, and best practices.
• Represent the organization in relevant meetings and coordination forums as directed.
• Assist management in engagement with Government officials and other key stakeholders.
• Lead fundraising and resource mobilization efforts for the Programme Pillar.
• Drive the development of the Pillar and support Project Officers to meet planned objectives.
• Fulfill any other duties assigned by management as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Peacebuilding, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Conflict and Transformation, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of three years' experience in programme or project management, including roles as a senior programme officer.
• Proven experience implementing projects focused on dialogue, peace, and social cohesion.
• Strong abilities in report writing, planning, coordination, and communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent English communication skills both written and spoken; familiarity with local languages is advantageous.
