About the Role
Deloitte operates across audit and assurance, tax and legal, consulting, and advisory services, supporting most of the Fortune Global 500 and many privately held companies. Within the Business Service Center, this position contributes to smooth, service-oriented support for internal businesses. The team handles cross-functional administrative matters such as order management, project controlling, and invoicing, making an important contribution to overall business success. The role is based in Berlin, with additional locations mentioned in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, and Hamburg.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for Deloitte business teams and coordinate all incoming project controlling topics.
- Review financial aspects and coordinate receivables and payments together with the billing team and project owners.
- Monitor and steer projects, including identifying and highlighting financial risks; serve as a sparring partner for subject-matter experts and managers in project management.
- Carry out careful checks to ensure the quality of delivered reports, analyses, and related outputs.
- Support team projects and initiatives, prepare internal documents, statistics, and analyses, assist with onboarding new colleagues, and help develop new tools for project controlling.
Profile and Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training with several years of relevant experience in project controlling, or a university degree in economics, ideally with a focus on finance, controlling, or business informatics.
- Working knowledge of SAP, business intelligence tools, and MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; interest in service management tools such as ServiceNow is a plus.
- Strong commitment, independent problem-solving, structured working style, flexibility, and a hands-on attitude.
- Strong service mindset, enjoyment in working with business teams, team orientation, and reliability.
- Very good German skills and ideally very good written and spoken English.
