Role Overview

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, the Project Manager will oversee the day-to-day operational delivery of a substantial cybersecurity staff augmentation engagement. This role is crucial in managing resource coordination, deliverables, and ensuring smooth onboarding and transitions of augmented cybersecurity personnel. The Project Manager translates strategic program directives into practical execution and maintains close collaboration with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive daily execution across multiple workstreams, monitoring tasks, milestones, and deliverables in alignment with the program plan.
  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, and role transitions for augmented cybersecurity staff, ensuring compliance with access provisioning, equipment distribution, badging, and client-specific policies.
  • Serve as the primary operational liaison for augmented staff, resolving routine issues and escalating significant matters to senior management.
  • Maintain comprehensive program documentation, including project plans, RACI matrices, risk and issue logs, and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor resource utilization, attendance, and performance metrics, reporting trends to senior leadership.
  • Prepare weekly status reports, dashboards, and materials for internal and client governance meetings.
  • Facilitate recurring operational meetings such as daily standups, team syncs, and sessions with client operational leads.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning to manage open requisitions, candidate pipelines, and staffing gaps.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly business reviews, SLA reporting, and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure augmented staff compliance with client policies, security standards, and program requirements.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ project management experience with at least 1-2 years in staff augmentation, managed services, or professional services settings.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity domains such as SOC operations, Governance, Risk & Compliance, security engineering, or Managed Detection and Response.
  • Proven ability to coordinate logistics and manage operations across large, distributed teams in high-paced environments.
  • Strong organizational capabilities with experience maintaining detailed program documentation and tracking tools.
  • Proficiency in project management software like Jira, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, or Smartsheet.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing formal reports and leading operational meetings.
  • Background supporting staff augmentation within MSSPs, cybersecurity consultancies, or government contracting organizations.
  • Experience working with HR, talent acquisition, and vendor management teams concerning resource lifecycle management.
  • Experience in Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
