Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

AMF Consulting is collaborating with a prominent construction firm to hire an experienced Quantity Surveyor for their expanding team based in County Mayo, Ireland. Responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee cost estimates, measurements, valuations, and agreements for various project sections.
• Submit accurate client valuations on schedule.
• Carry out project cost reconciliations through to the final account stage.
• Generate detailed project cost reports and maintain variation logs.
• Compile monthly interim valuations to assist financial tracking.
• Manage subcontractor-related measurements, valuations, and final account payments effectively.
• Monitor project expenses and report updates to senior management regularly.
• Estimate and manage costs relating to contract changes and variations.
• Support estimating and tendering processes for upcoming projects.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a degree in Quantity Surveying (BSc or an equivalent qualification).
• Have between three to five years of experience in a Quantity Surveying capacity.
• Demonstrated strong understanding of construction contracts and cost management throughout projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent organizational abilities and effective time management.
• Capability to handle multiple concurrent projects and collaborate efficiently within team settings.
• Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with meticulous attention to detail.
