Overview

The Quantity Surveyor - Post Contract is tasked with overseeing the commercial and contract management aspects relating to infrastructure projects during the construction phase. This involves controlling costs, administering contracts, managing valuations, handling variations and claims, facilitating payments, and settling final accounts, ensuring all actions comply with contractual standards.

Key Duties

• Manage all post-contract quantity surveying functions related to infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and assess interim payment applications, variations, claims, and final account settlements.
• Keep track of project costs, budgets, cash flows, and overall commercial performance.
• Administer contracts diligently to meet contractual commitments and obligations.
• Generate commercial documentation including reports, cost forecasts, and financial status updates.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors on commercial and contractual issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or an allied field.
• Hold a minimum of five years' experience in post-contract quantity surveying specifically on infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrate strong understanding of FIDIC contracts, contract management procedures, and cost control techniques.
• Experience in infrastructure domains such as roadways, bridges, utilities, or rail projects is essential.
• Exhibit excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Competency in Microsoft Office tools, with an emphasis on Excel.
