Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Release Manager to join our Bangalore team. The ideal candidate will possess a decade or more of solid experience in overseeing software releases, particularly within dynamic and fast-paced environments. This position demands strategic coordination across multiple teams to guarantee punctual and efficient deployment of software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and manage software release schedules across several environments.
• Collaborate closely with development, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure seamless release cycles.
• Establish, document, and maintain release management procedures and best practices.
• Track release progress, identify potential risks and issues, and communicate these updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Lead release planning meetings to align all involved parties on objectives and timelines.
• Deploy and oversee release automation tools and workflows.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance throughout release activities.
• Continuously enhance release processes aimed at improving overall efficiency and effectiveness.
• Serve as the primary contact point for all queries and concerns related to release management.

Required Skills and Experience

• Demonstrable experience managing software releases within software development settings.
• Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency with release management tools and automation technologies.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Capability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Effective problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with software related to the travel industry.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and associated tooling.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and its application.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 10 to 15 years of professional experience in release management or related fields.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or similar credentials are advantageous.
