Senior Procurement Manager, Regional

About the Role

Our client, a well-established multinational technology enterprise, is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to lead regional category strategies and drive a comprehensive procurement transformation across the region. This leadership role involves spearheading strategic procurement initiatives, managing a transformation PMO, and partnering with business and supply chain leaders to unlock sustained value, innovation, and competitive advantages.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and direct regional category strategies covering critical spend areas such as Packaging, Insulating Materials, Chemicals, Subcontracting, and Contract Manufacturing.
• Adapt and implement global procurement strategies tailored to regional market conditions and supplier realities.
• Enhance total value creation across categories, focusing on cost optimization, innovation, risk management, sustainability, and speed.
• Influence upstream product design and sourcing decisions to ensure competitive costs and supply resilience.
• Establish and lead a regional Procurement Transformation PMO to systematically execute strategic projects including plant procurement maturity enhancements, process standardization, governance, digital procurement enablement, capability building, and boosting organizational effectiveness.
• Define clear KPIs and governance mechanisms to ensure transformation goals are met, acting as the primary link between global initiatives and regional execution.
• Develop a robust, future-ready supplier network balancing depth and diversification within the region.
• Lead risk mitigation efforts addressing geopolitical risks, supply continuity, and capacity limitations.
• Drive strategic expansion of supplier footprints including onboarding new suppliers, diversifying locations, and establishing dual sourcing models.
• Elevate supplier relationships into strategic partnerships focused on co-innovation and aligned technology roadmaps.
• Implement supplier development programs to improve competitiveness, quality, and innovation input.
• Maintain sustainable cost leadership via structured productivity initiatives, design-to-cost measures, should-costing, and value engineering.
• Create and oversee a multi-year productivity pipeline with clarity and accountability.
• Implement rigorous supplier performance governance concerning quality, cost, delivery, innovation, and sustainability, employing data-driven dashboards.
• Align procurement practices with corporate sustainability and responsible sourcing commitments.
• Collaborate strategically with regional business stakeholders to influence sourcing, footprint, and supply chain strategies.
• Lead cross-functional teams and manage change initiatives within procurement groups to foster cultural transformation.

What Makes You Successful

• Over 15 years of leadership experience in procurement, specializing in regional category management and transformation programs.
• Demonstrated leadership in large-scale procurement or supply chain transformation projects, including experience with Category Management and Procurement PMOs preferred.
• Broad knowledge of Asian supply markets, especially the ecosystems within China.
• Strong expertise in category strategy development, supplier growth, and managing subcontracting or contract manufacturing models.
• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders within complex, matrixed global organizations.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving capability, and disciplined execution skills.
• High leadership presence, resilience, and proficiency in managing change.
