Subcontracts Specialist

Job Overview

The Subcontracts Specialist utilizes foundational knowledge of subcontracting procedures to handle a variety of straightforward subcontract challenges with moderate guidance from colleagues and leadership. The role involves analyzing potential solutions based on established protocols and expanding knowledge of the company, its processes, and customers. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and guide subcontract input for bid proposal activities, including preparing subcontractor bidding documents and evaluations.
• Oversee and execute all commercial and administrative subcontract tasks within assigned projects.
• Adhere to global procedures as defined in the company's management system.
• Stay informed about the HSE Plan contents and be prepared to take necessary actions during emergencies.
• Participate actively in applying the HSE Plan specifically concerning subcontractors.
• Ensure subcontractors meet all contractual obligations.
• Identify, assess, and agree upon changes in subcontract work scope, monitoring associated project risks.
• Process changes with subcontractors following directions from the Subcontract Manager or leadership.
• Develop and update subcontract cost forecasts, coordinating with the Project Controls Manager.
• Contribute to weekly and monthly project reports.
• Comply with the overall sourcing strategy of the organization.
• Support senior resources dealing with subcontract systems as an understudy when needed.
• Promptly escalate arising issues to subcontract leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Three to six years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong skills in communication and delivering presentations.
• Proficient problem-solving abilities.
• Sound decision-making capabilities.
• Skilled in negotiation techniques.
