Role Overview
The Supply Chain Data Analyst is a pivotal contributor focused on enhancing operational efficiencies by managing procurement activities and refining supply chain workflows. Acting both as a practitioner and internal advisor, this role bridges manual purchasing processes with future automation and AI solutions, collaborating closely with Global Supply Managers and cross-functional teams to maintain data accuracy, resolve bottlenecks, and drive scalable improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily purchase order activities in partnership with Planning and GSM teams, managing issuance, delivery tracking, and expediting processes to meet production timelines.
- Manage invoice and receiving discrepancies by investigating mismatches between vendor shipments, invoices, and ERP system records.
- Oversee master data governance, ensuring SKU and BOM accuracy across platforms such as NetSuite and Arena, maintaining a single source of truth.
- Map and document current procurement processes, identifying manual handoffs and standardizing operations through process visuals and SOPs.
- Evaluate workflows for automation potential leveraging tools like Zapier, Workato, and ERP native functionalities.
- Conduct research and pilot AI-driven initiatives including AI-assisted data cleanup, automated vendor communications, and predictive stock alerts to reduce administrative workload.
- Create dashboards to monitor supply chain KPIs such as purchase order cycle times and on-time delivery rates, measuring effectiveness of process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience of 1-3 years.
- Strong analytical skills with a detailed-oriented mindset, adept at connecting procurement data and broader business functions.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, and PLM software like Arena; advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets including pivot tables and lookup functions.
- Interest or experience with automation platforms, process mapping software such as Lucidchart or Miro, as well as AI tools including ChatGPT or Claude.
- Excellent communication abilities to translate supply chain challenges into clear technical requirements for engineering and finance teams.
- Proactive approach with a focus on addressing root causes of data and process issues in a dynamic, fast-growing company environment.
Success Metrics
- Reliable and accurate execution of purchasing tasks with a noticeable decrease in urgent issues from data silos or manual handoffs.
- Maintenance of highly accurate master data systems that align precisely with negotiated supplier terms.
- Creation of a comprehensive, accessible library of procurement and data management workflows.
- Implementation of multiple automation or AI enhancements that reduce manual work and improve efficiency for the supply chain team.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $76,585 to $94,605 USD annually. Compensation is determined considering market data, performance, fairness, and growth potential.
