System Engineer – Troubleshooting and Component Specialist

We are currently seeking a System Engineer specializing in troubleshooting and component expertise to contribute to this mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced (third-level) troubleshooting to accurately diagnose root causes of system issues, coordinating with internal teams and original equipment manufacturers as necessary.
• Provide technical training to maintenance teams on procedures and respond to technical inquiries during maintenance activities.
• Initiate problem reports and lead investigations for failures at the sub-system level.
• Evaluate proposed modifications and supervise the initial implementation of changes.
• Define configuration requirements and maintain technical documentation to support maintenance operations.
• Develop detailed component overhaul, repair, and maintenance instructions.
• Identify and specify appropriate equipment, spare parts, and special tools needed for maintenance tasks.
• Support validation plans aimed at enhancing maintenance processes.
• Continuously improve and optimize maintenance intervals and enhance the efficiency, methods, and ergonomics of maintenance practices.
• Define and implement smart monitoring rules for ongoing performance tracking.
• Conduct initial maintenance tasks and overhaul inspections.
• Assess performance metrics and prepare reports.
• Provide support for technical incident resolution via helpline and PRT assistance.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in locomotive maintenance.
• Strong understanding of locomotive systems, including detailed knowledge of subsystems.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Competent computer skills and knowledge of technical software.
• Understanding of analytical methods and investigative procedures.
• Completion of Siemens Mandatory Induction Trainings and adherence to Safety Rules and Regulations.
• Familiarity with EF9K locomotive systems.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of European Committee for Standardization maintenance guidelines (ECM), Railway Safety Directive, and relevant local regulations such as DIN 27201-1.
• Proficiency with personal computers, standard office software, and 3D design applications like Creo, AutoCAD, or Catia.
• Experience with train-level application software and associated hardware.
