Role Overview

We seek a Technical Program Manager to oversee the master schedule and coordinate execution across multiple hardware development initiatives. The incumbent will ensure all teams, timelines, and dependencies are transparent and progressing smoothly from development through testing to production. Embedded within a nimble engineering team, the schedule you maintain will be essential to align hardware, regulatory, and procurement activities. You will manage the critical path rigorously, drive task completion, identify risks proactively, and keep leadership informed about the program’s true status. This role demands a strong capability to bring order to complex projects and confidently challenge engineering task estimates.

Key Duties

• Manage and update the program's master schedule, including critical path, cross-project dependencies, milestones, and schedule margins, ensuring accuracy and transparency for teams and leaders.
• Maintain action-item and risk trackers; actively pursue resolution of open items and promptly signal issues affecting the critical path or downstream tasks.
• Oversee regulatory milestones, monitor long-lead approvals, collaborate with regulatory counsel, and ensure progress against regulatory timelines.
• Track procurement processes including purchase orders, vendor lead times, and critical hardware components, expediting when necessary to defend the critical path.
• Provide clear and current program status reports; support program reviews; foster coordination and alignment within a small team.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in program or project management within aerospace, defense, or similar hardware-centric industries.
• Practical experience with work management tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, or equivalents.
• Ability to interpret engineering schedules, understand the dependencies across hardware domains, and engage credibly with engineers about task estimates.
• Authorization to work in an ITAR-controlled environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic background in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• PMP or CAPM certification.
• Prior involvement in hardware development programs.
• Experience related to launch vehicles, spacecraft, or propulsion technology.
• Familiarity with aerospace compliance or export control processes (FAA licensing, ITAR/EAR, environmental permits).
• Proven ability to thrive in startup or fast-moving resource-limited environments.
• Eligibility to obtain security clearance.
