Role Overview
The Training Manager plays an essential role in supporting the Director of Training & Engagement by designing, executing, and evaluating various developmental initiatives. These include workforce development, supervisory and management skill enhancement, leadership programs, and performance management schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and oversee learning programs aligned with Fontainebleau’s cultural values.
- Administer learning logistics such as scheduling, announcements, and attendance management.
- Ensure course completion compliance through meticulous reporting and audits.
- Conduct and facilitate both Team Member Orientation and Annual Orientation programs.
- Continuously update training materials to reflect organizational strategy and workplace changes.
- Collaborate with leadership and subject matter experts to develop relevant training content.
- Assist in career planning, succession planning, and upward mobility initiatives.
- Identify training needs through job analysis and performance evaluations.
- Develop the competency of departmental trainers to enhance training effectiveness.
- Support onboarding and ongoing development for new employees and key learning partners.
- Manage the department’s training lifecycle, including design, delivery, and efficacy assessments.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Mobility required with prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Ability to push/pull cabinets weighing up to fifteen pounds.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Normal vision and hearing capabilities.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient computer literacy, particularly with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; familiarity with HRIS systems like Paycom is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Customer service excellence with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within a dynamic environment.
- Independent work approach focused on achieving results and superior service delivery.
- Prior hospitality industry experience preferred.
Educational and Professional Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related disciplines preferred.
- At least two years of experience in Human Resources or similar fields, with an emphasis on hospitality preferred.
