Job Overview
The Associate Project Manager is responsible for collaborating with both technical and clinical teams to ensure the successful execution of customer projects, from initial planning stages through implementation. This role involves maintaining alignment on project goals, deliverables, timelines, and customer expectations while proactively suggesting improvements to enhance project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of designated project activities across the entire project lifecycle, ensuring delivery is timely and meets quality standards.
- Utilize sound judgment following established procedures to maintain compliance and resolve project challenges effectively.
- Serve as a primary interface between customers and internal teams, providing operational and technical support, managing communications, and addressing moderate-level issues to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Support project governance by monitoring metrics, identifying risks, tracking issues, handling change requests, and partnering with leadership to develop mitigation strategies that minimize impact on schedule, budget, and commitments.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience gained from internships, academic projects, or early career exposure in project management; prior professional experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Comprehensive understanding of project management principles.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Healthcare or medical device industry experience is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- Certifications such as PMP, PMI, or ACP considered a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation capabilities.
- Capability to meet physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.
Work Environment
This position is a field-based role requiring full-time onsite presence, typically working at customer or supplier locations rather than company offices. For office-based roles, minimum three days per week onsite is expected. This role is full-time and based in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary ranges vary by state and are approximately:
- $65,000–$103,000 in AL, AZ, AR, CO, FL, GA, HI, ID, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MI, MN, MS, MO, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, OR, WY
- $68,000–$108,000 in AK, DE, MD, NY, RI, WA
- $73,000–$115,000 in CA, CT, DC, MA, NJ
Base salary depends on factors such as experience, skills, business needs, geography, and internal equity. Additional compensation may include bonuses, commissions, and long-term incentives.
