Position Overview

This role leverages data to reveal impactful stories surrounding clients and programs. The Client Data Analyst transforms intricate program and client data into insights that assist key leaders in decision-making. Collaborating with program heads, finance, and executive teams, this position develops dashboards, enhances reporting, detects trends, and improves data quality for a wide array of programs.

The role is predominantly remote with some onsite commitments at the Seattle office for meetings and collaborative events.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze client data including demographics, services, and outcomes to support program goals and strategic projects.
  • Develop and sustain comprehensive reports, interactive dashboards, and data visualizations via Excel, SQL, and R.
  • Automate routine internal and funder reporting processes.
  • Interpret data for non-technical audiences to ensure clear, actionable insights.
  • Clean and reshape data using SQL and R to enhance accuracy and accessibility.
  • Create, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
  • Document data definitions, workflows, and reporting standards thoroughly.
  • Co-administer data systems such as ClientTrack and HMIS, acting as secondary HMIS lead and liaison for Coordinated Entry.
  • Design and conduct user training sessions for client data systems and provide ongoing technical user support.
  • Communicate complex data and system concepts clearly to staff and troubleshoot data system issues, coordinating with vendors when necessary.
  • Lead data quality assurance efforts and recommend improvements to data infrastructure and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all data reporting standards including federal, state, local, and HUD requirements.
  • Partner with diverse teams across the organization to refine data processes and foster data-driven decision-making.
  • Emphasize social justice by recognizing and addressing systemic inequities in data analysis and organizational policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and professional experience.
  • 1-3 years experience in data analysis, reporting, or program support.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong data handling ability.
