About the Role
Blacklock Group is collaborating with a renewable power generation platform focusing on wind and solar energy to expand their team by hiring a Corporate Development Associate. This position involves supporting various aspects of acquisition and project financing within the renewable sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior staff to identify and assess potential acquisition and project financing deals.
- Create and oversee detailed financial models and valuation assessments.
- Engage extensively in due diligence processes, coordinating efforts with operations, commercial, legal teams, and external advisors for validating key assumptions.
- Work closely with financing parties such as lenders and tax equity investors to facilitate diligence tasks, structuring of transactions, and negotiation of legal contracts.
- Support the development of investment memoranda and prepare presentations for executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to evaluate and qualify prospective mergers and acquisitions opportunities.
- Contribute to the formulation of overarching strategic initiatives and investment strategies.
Candidate Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, corporate finance, or management consulting.
- Demonstrated experience in mergers and acquisitions is highly preferred.
- A bachelor's degree from a prestigious university, ideally in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a closely related quantitative or analytical field.
- Familiarity or experience in energy, infrastructure, or commercial real estate sectors is a strong advantage, though not mandatory.
