Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Architect for a six-month contract based in Weehawken, NJ with flexible hybrid remote options. This role demands leadership in designing and managing web analytics and data platforms, primarily focusing on Adobe Analytics, Launch, and WebSDK. You will spearhead platform migrations, govern tagging standards, and develop frameworks for cross-platform data consistency and AI-enhanced insight generation. The architect will also establish governance and KPI continuity during platform transitions and lead the creation of modern data platforms using Google Cloud Platform technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee complete architecture involving Adobe Analytics, Launch, and WebSDK, including designing migration and measurement for transitions such as Shopify integration.
- Develop frameworks for data reconciliation and parity across platforms including Adobe Analytics, Dynamic Yield, and Content Square, incorporating event definitions and thorough root cause analyses.
- Establish standards for report suite, taxonomy, and governance ensuring compliance and consistency for execution teams.
- Design AI-driven insight generation architectures incorporating semantic and metrics layers, prompt governance, and feedback loops to improve accuracy.
- Define frameworks to maintain KPI continuity and validation for migration cutovers, including contingency planning for rollback and risk mitigation.
- Architect scalable data platforms using GCP technologies such as BigQuery and data pipelines, collaborating on Tableau dashboard architecture with governance standards.
- Implement server-side tag management architectures using middleware for enhanced data collection, privacy compliance, and vendor tag performance improvements.
- Define SQL query and modeling standards to support reporting, parity validation, and AI-driven pipeline automation.
- Set architecture standards for integrating marketing and paid channel data (Google Ads, Meta, SA360) and third-party pixel integrations.
- Lead the web analytics roadmap evolution from dashboards to AI-enabled self-service insights.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to offshore and execution teams, ensuring quality and adherence to standards.
- Engage with senior leadership on technology roadmap and strategic build versus buy decisions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation as governance artifacts including standards, playbooks, and decision logs.
Candidate Profile
- At least 8 years of experience in web analytics and data platform architecture, with 5 or more years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in Adobe Analytics ecosystem including Launch and WebSDK.
- Proven track record in architecting cross-platform data reconciliation frameworks.
- Experience in setting reporting and governance standards for analytics teams.
- Ability to design AI insight generation systems involving semantic layers and self-improving models.
- Competence in ensuring KPI continuity and validation during system migrations.
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform data architecture, especially BigQuery and pipelines.
- Proficiency in Tableau dashboard development and governance.
- Knowledgeable in server-side tagging and middleware solutions for data privacy and control.
- Strong SQL skills and experience developing query and modeling standards for large-scale data infrastructure.
- Understanding of marketing data integrations including Google Ads, Meta, and SA360.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing technical direction and mentoring teams.
- Ability to work independently and asynchronously with full ownership of technical deliverables.
- Excellent documentation skills for governance-focused materials.
