Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Snowflake Data Engineer with over 8 years of experience to join our team in Dubai, specializing in the airline and hospitality sectors. This position requires expertise in developing and optimizing cloud-based data solutions using Snowflake alongside advanced data engineering tools and practices.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Design, develop, and enhance enterprise-scale data pipelines and cloud data platforms.
- Utilize advanced SQL programming for query optimization within Snowflake environments.
- Implement and maintain workflows using Apache Airflow and dbt (Data Build Tool).
- Apply a strong grasp of ETL/ELT processes and modern data engineering methodologies.
- Handle both structured and semi-structured data formats including JSON, Parquet, and Avro.
- Develop automation scripts and tools leveraging Python for data operations.
- Manage version control systems such as Git for codebase consistency and collaboration.
- Employ data modeling techniques effectively, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Dimensional Modeling.
