Data Engineering Analyst - 6 Month Contract

About the Role

This opportunity is for a Data Engineering Analyst to join a reputable organisation based in the South West of England, on a 6-month initial contract. The role involves being part of a collaborative data team responsible for managing the end-to-end data platform, covering governance, architecture, and delivery of high-quality data solutions.

You will be embedded within the Salesforce data team, supporting daily operations, investigating production issues, analysing data, and collaborating closely with both business and technical stakeholders to ensure data quality and system stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, prioritize, and analyse production issues within the Salesforce environment.
• Perform in-depth root cause analysis to uncover underlying data problems.
• Convert business and technical issues into precise user stories for development teams.
• Assist with Salesforce environment refresh processes.
• Engage with underlying data layers to detect and rectify data quality challenges.
• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, developers, and technical leads to implement effective solutions.
• Communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences, both technical and non-technical.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficient in SQL with strong ability to query and analyse complex datasets.
• Demonstrated experience executing thorough root cause investigations and problem-solving.
• Skilled at translating technical challenges into clear business requirements and actionable user stories.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience collaborating effectively with both business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with Salesforce data and platform technologies.
• Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms.
• Background in regulated industries such as financial services or wealth management is advantageous.

Additional Information

This contract role is based onsite in South West England and operates inside IR35. The agreed day rate for this engagement is £500, and the duration is initially 6 months. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to bridge communication between technical and business units.
