Job Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with essential daily living activities including meal preparation, housekeeping, personal hygiene, grooming, and transportation.
• Encourage and facilitate participation in social engagements and community events such as shopping and social outings.
• Support clients in reaching personal milestones and celebrate their progress.
• Promote client autonomy by fostering choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of care, activities, and client progress.
• Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure consistent and high-quality support for clients.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent educational certification.
• Successful completion of background checks and required trainings.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, along with proof of insurance (either primary or secondary).
• Ability to provide safe and respectful care within clients’ homes and community settings.
• Genuine compassion, reliability, and commitment to positively impacting lives.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or autism, particularly in carrying out Individual Activity Support Plans and Service Plans.
• Familiarity with basic behavioral support techniques such as redirection, visual cues, and environmental adjustments.
