Estimation Administrator

Job Overview

The Estimation Administrator is responsible for inspecting damaged vehicles to accurately estimate the labor and parts costs necessary for repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to assess the scope of structural, body, mechanical, or interior damage.
• Calculate repair costs, including labor and parts, for each identified damaged component.
• Discuss and review repair cost estimates with the body shop manager.
• Decide whether to repair or replace parts such as bumpers, fenders, and doors based on feasibility.
• Assess whether repairing the vehicle is practical compared to its pre-accident market value.
• Determine salvage value for vehicles declared a total loss.
• Prepare insurance documentation outlining repair cost estimates and recommendations.
• Provide estimates for repainting, special purpose conversions, or customization of undamaged vehicles.
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Automotive, Engines and Vehicle technology, or related field.
• Between zero and two years of experience in a similar role.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with computer applications.
• Competent in English language.
