About the Company and Role

The Finance Manager position is part of the Finance team that provides analysis, planning, management reporting, performance measurement, and supports strategic projects across business units.
This role resides within the Emerging Distribution team under the Finance department and reports to the Manager, Finance. It involves consulting and providing comprehensive financial support for strategic projects related to Wealth Management, including business case development and partnership building with business leaders.
The work location is initially at 483 Bay Street, Toronto, transitioning by late 2026 to a new office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway, Mississauga. The work arrangement is a flexible hybrid schedule, requiring current Canadian work authorization.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive complex financial and economic analyses to guide strategic business decisions with minimal supervision, acting as a finance consultant to senior management.
- Conduct pricing and competitive analysis for emerging business opportunities through market and industry research.
- Lead initiatives to develop, manage, and document consistent reporting systems and tools across channels to enable timely evaluation of business results.
- Create and maintain reports and analytics, including key performance indicators and scorecards for strategic distribution channels, anticipating future reporting needs.
- Support the business planning process by providing overall financial oversight, expense management, and assistance on ad hoc projects.
- Establish and nurture positive relationships with stakeholders and management throughout the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in business-related fields such as Accounting, Economics, or Commerce, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in financial analysis within finance departments.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, valuation, reporting, strategic planning, budgeting, and performance measurement.
- Creative and inquisitive mindset with the ability to analyze outcomes concisely.
- Preferred experience in Wealth Management, Insurance, or Financial Services sectors.
- Strongly preferred progress toward or completion of professional financial/accounting qualifications such as CPA (CA, CMA, CGA), CFA, or MBA.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and robust analytical capabilities.
- Skill in creating compelling presentations for executive audiences using Microsoft PowerPoint.

- Leadership presence with the aptitude to influence senior management diplomatically.
