Role Overview
Join Healthcare Services Group as a Floor Technician dedicated to ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of floor surfaces within long-term care facilities. This position is essential to maintaining a hygienic and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute various floor care activities including cleaning, buffing, and refinishing floors across resident rooms, common areas, and offices.
- Operate floor care machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Keep detailed logs of floor maintenance tasks and promptly report any equipment or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and universal precaution standards to sustain a sanitary environment.
- Engage respectfully and courteously with residents, staff, and visitors, providing outstanding customer service.
- Perform additional duties as necessary, as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in floor care is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and communicate effectively with all facility occupants and leadership to fulfill daily responsibilities.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements is mandatory.
- Physical capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Capacity to perform repetitive tasks consistently throughout shifts.
- Ability to work safely around food and cleaning chemicals.
- Competence in following oral and written instructions and performing routine tasks daily.
- Must reside within the service area.
