About Gallagher Interiors
Gallagher Interiors is a full-service interior design studio located in Southlake, Texas. We serve clientele throughout North Texas, including areas such as Southlake, Westlake, North Dallas, Flower Mound, Colleyville, Grapevine, and Frisco. Our services encompass everything from new construction design, kitchen and bath selections, to home updates and complete furnishings. Our approach centers around elegant, functional design that is customized to each client's lifestyle. We are a small, energetic team sharing a supportive studio environment in Southlake.
Role Overview
This part-time position offers 15 to 32 hours weekly initially, with schedules blending in-studio meetings, visits to project sites and showrooms, and remote work from home. The ideal candidate will demonstrate independent thinking, efficient multitasking, professional communication, and detailed presentation skills. Responsibilities include preparing and presenting designs, creating detailed drawings and high-quality renderings and specifications, sourcing materials and furnishings, and liaising professionally with clients, contractors, and vendors. Additional duties involve taking precise site measurements, managing the procurement process, maintaining project documentation, and supporting the lead designer to deliver personalized interiors that reflect the firm's high standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or demonstrable expertise in concept development and FF&E selection.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Chief Architect or SketchUp software.
- Familiarity with Google Suite and Houzz Pro or related software is advantageous.
- Strong space planning abilities to design efficient and visually appealing layouts, with emphasis on cabinetry and furniture.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of architectural principles and ability to interpret or collaborate on construction drawings.
- Capability with various design and presentation tools.
- Exceptional client communication skills fostering strong professional relationships.
- Detail-focused, well-organized, and adept at managing multiple projects and timelines in a hybrid work setup.
- Experience in residential interior design projects; knowledge of the North Texas market is beneficial.
- A portfolio demonstrating creativity and design proficiency.
