IT Manager (Projects & Operations)

Role overview

The IT Manager will lead the planning, delivery, and completion of technology initiatives while keeping the organisation’s systems and infrastructure running securely and smoothly. The role covers software, network, and cybersecurity work, and requires close coordination with internal teams and outside suppliers to keep projects aligned with business needs, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate outsourced IT work across cloud infrastructure, SaaS platforms, network environments, and cybersecurity programs, with a focus on timely delivery, cost discipline, and organisational alignment.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to clarify requirements, organise implementation plans, track progress, and drive successful project delivery.
• Plan and manage outsourced IT operations, including schedules, budget control, project scope, and service quality standards.
• Spot project and operational risks early, put mitigation measures in place, and maintain controls that support quality, reliability, and compliance.
• Act as the primary contact for IT-related matters between the company, stakeholders, and service providers, keeping communication clear on status, issues, risks, and operational requirements.
• Apply cybersecurity knowledge to help secure vendor-delivered services and support resilient IT implementation.

Requirements

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in IT project management and/or IT operations.
• Hands-on exposure to projects involving software, networks, infrastructure, or cybersecurity.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and vendors in a structured way.
• Solid understanding of project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and practices to support secure, resilient delivery.
