Machine Learning Engineer

Overview

Our client is searching for a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer to design, implement, and improve forecasting solutions within a dynamic tech environment. This role will involve working on advanced machine learning projects with a strong emphasis on time-series data.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, optimize, and fine-tune machine learning models focused on time-series forecasting.
• Interpret large-scale and intricate datasets to discover significant trends and actionable business insights.
• Assess model accuracy and reliability; implement enhancements to boost scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy machine learning pipelines into production settings.
• Develop processes for continuous model monitoring, retraining, and upkeep.
• Communicate technical details clearly to both clients and non-technical stakeholders.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure machine learning products meet business goals and customer needs.
• Contribute to establishing engineering standards, methodologies, and best practices as the team grows.

Required Experience and Skills

• At least 3 years working as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, or a related role with a focus on time-series forecasting projects.
• Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, statistical analysis, and evaluation methodologies.
• Proficient in Python programming and familiar with major machine learning libraries.
• Skilled at preparing, processing, and analyzing structured data sets.
• Experience in deploying and maintaining machine learning models in live production environments.
• Excellent communication skills capable of simplifying complex technical outputs for various audiences.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative technical team.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of MLOps concepts, including model monitoring and deployment automation.
• Familiarity with containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure automation tools.
• Experience with computer vision technologies.
• Understanding data engineering and scalable pipeline architectures.
• Previous involvement in roles requiring direct customer interaction.
• Motivation to advance towards leadership or management positions within engineering.

Educational Background

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Advanced degrees in relevant technical fields are advantageous but not mandatory.
