Job Overview

This full-time role based in Phnom Penh involves supporting market exploration for new suppliers, managing procurement processes, and coordinating shipment and customs clearance activities in alignment with departmental requirements and contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and assist in sourcing new suppliers and goods/services to support company needs.
• Review specifications, delivery terms, and payment conditions for goods and services to ensure appropriateness.
• Obtain supplier quotations as per approved purchase requests and prepare comparative analyses for managerial consent.
• Maintain communication with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and service fulfillment according to approved purchase requests, purchase orders, and contracts.
• Regularly update and maintain databases related to suppliers, pricing, goods and services sources, and contact details.
• Address issues such as defective goods, damages, and returns promptly.
• Provide status updates to requesting departments.
• Issue quotations, purchase orders, and contracts for departmental approval.
• Ensure thorough documentation and recordkeeping of procurement activities in compliance with retention policies.
• Collaborate closely with transport agents and the customs department to oversee shipments and ensure timely customs clearance procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement management, shipment, and customs clearance working with Cambodia's customs department and transport agents.
• Knowledge of procurement practices within the power, energy, or infrastructure industries is advantageous.
• Up-to-date understanding of procurement techniques, technical aspects, Cambodian customs regulations, and tax provisions.
• Strong team orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively in multicultural environments and meet strict deadlines.
• Solid negotiation and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical engineering concepts is beneficial.
• Competency in English communication, both spoken and written.
