Plant Operator

About the Role

Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC) is looking for a focused and safety-conscious Plant Operator to join the Operations team at the Sajaa Gas Processing Plant located in Sharjah Emirate, UAE. The position operates on a 56 days on / 28 days off rotation.

Responsibilities

• Operate the gas processing plant following approved operating, start-up, and shutdown procedures.
• Adhere strictly to the Sajaa Plant Operating Procedures.
• Assume responsibility for designated areas, ensuring high standards of housekeeping, equipment integrity, maintenance, and readiness.
• Participate in daily operational safety toolbox meetings.
• Maximize production rates within operational limits and plant design constraints.
• Maintain product quality by monitoring plant operations to meet specifications.
• Record and analyze equipment and process data, reporting any irregularities to senior operators.
• Enhance plant efficiency and optimize recovery of LPG and condensate.
• Implement measures aimed at reducing production loss and enhancing optimization.
• Assist in investigating plant disturbances, shutdown events, and operational abnormalities.
• Troubleshoot plant issues and provide support to other operators as needed.
• Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
• Contribute to execution of routine operational plans (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
• Stay informed about future and ongoing plant activities and maintenance schedules.
• Oversee contractor work in assigned sections ensuring compliance with site rules and control of work protocols.
• Promote teamwork within shifts and cooperation with Maintenance, Supply Chain, Field Operations, Terminal Operations, and other teams.
• Engage in competency development, training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Help accomplish team objectives and identify opportunities for operational and cost efficiency enhancements.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

The role requires strict compliance with safety regulations and a commitment to continuous improvement within a gas processing plant environment. Working hours follow a 56-days-on and 28-days-off schedule, providing a defined rotation cycle.
