Program Manager

Overview

A well-established Irish financial services firm is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to oversee the governance and delivery oversight of a significant Investment Management transformation initiative. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with senior leaders in business and technology to drive successful programme outcomes. While an external specialist partner will handle the technical roll-out of the core platform, this role will be responsible for programme governance, reporting, stakeholder engagement, operating model implementation, and ensuring coordinated efforts across functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall programme governance for a strategic Investment Management transformation.
• Maintain and manage programme RAID logs to proactively address risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
• Develop and present executive-level reports and updates to senior leadership and steering committees.
• Coordinate various business and technology workstreams to ensure programme alignment.
• Act as the central liaison between the business and the external implementation partner responsible for the core technology solution.
• Assist in designing and implementing the future operating model to maximize organizational value.
• Facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration across Technology, Investment Management, Operations, and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure all programme milestones, governance standards, and delivery timelines are adhered to.
• Provide transparent progress updates and escalate risks or issues when necessary.
• Support change management and business readiness activities throughout the lifecycle of the programme.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 8 years managing complex technology or business transformation programmes in the Financial Services sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in programme governance including RAID management, executive reporting, steering committee coordination, and dependency handling.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders in business and technology domains.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working with senior executives such as CIOs, Executive Leadership, and Business Heads.
• In-depth understanding of operating model design and business transformation principles.
• Experience partnering with third-party vendors and implementation teams.
• Capability to manage multiple programme workstreams while maintaining stringent control and governance.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and influencing skills.
• Experience delivering projects in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Background in Funds Management, Asset Management, or Investment Management.
• Familiarity with investment operations, portfolio management, or investment performance systems such as FactSet or comparable platforms.
• Experience executing technology-enabled transformations within regulated financial services organizations.
