Program/Delivery Manager - AI

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned and outcome-oriented AI Technical Program Manager / Delivery Manager to spearhead a centralized AI delivery team supporting a Fortune 100 global retail client. This pivotal role focuses on steering enterprise-wide AI initiatives from strategic planning through successful execution. The incumbent will manage cross-functional teams, enforce delivery governance, and ensure AI solutions drive tangible business results across diverse business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the centralized AI deployment team delivering enterprise and Generative AI projects across retail operations.
• Oversee end-to-end program management encompassing planning, execution, governance, risk mitigation, and communication with stakeholders.
• Craft and maintain AI delivery roadmaps aligned with company strategic goals and business priorities.
• Establish frameworks, operational models, and best practices for uniform delivery execution in AI programs.
• Manage multiple simultaneous AI projects ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Supervise the rollout of AI/ML, Generative AI, Intelligent Automation, and Advanced Analytics solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Data Science, Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Security, and Architecture teams to transition AI prototypes to production environments.
• Guarantee AI solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and follow enterprise standards.
• Promote responsible AI methodologies, governance controls, and model lifecycle processes.
• Serve as the chief delivery lead and trusted consultant for senior client stakeholders.
• Organize executive steering committee sessions and provide comprehensive updates on program status, risks, achievements, and value delivered.
• Align efforts between business, technology, operations, and vendor groups.
• Influence and facilitate decision-making across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Mentor and lead a multidisciplinary team including AI Engineers, Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Architects, Product Owners, and Delivery Leads.
• Foster a high-performance delivery culture emphasizing innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Drive resource allocation, talent development, capacity planning, and succession strategies.
• Implement AI delivery governance with KPI frameworks and operational dashboards.
• Define program success measures such as adoption rates, business impact, model efficiency, productivity improvements, and ROI.
• Manage risks, dependencies, escalations, and mitigation approaches effectively.
• Ensure all initiatives comply with security, privacy, regulatory mandates, and corporate governance policies.

Candidate Requirements

• Over 12 years' experience in Technology Delivery, Program Management, or Digital Transformation.
• Minimum 5 years managing delivery of AI/ML, Data Science, Advanced Analytics, or Generative AI programs.
• Proven leadership in large-scale enterprise transformations for Fortune 500/100 clients.
• Experience in managing global delivery teams across various geographies.
• Track record of successfully delivering complex tech projects exceeding $5 million annual portfolio.
• Preferred: background in retail industry applications.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI in domains such as customer service, personalized marketing, merchandising, supply chain, demand forecasting, store operations, inventory management, and digital commerce.
• Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms including Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, Databricks, or related ecosystems.
• Experience engaging with executive and C-suite leaders.

Compensation and Equal Opportunity

Salary offered ranges between CAD 115,000 and CAD 125,000 annually, dependent on market, location, experience, qualifications, and education.
