Job Overview

Join a top-tier international general contractor specializing in significant regional data centre developments. We seek an accomplished Project Director to oversee major hyperscale and mission-critical data centre projects across the UAE, ensuring successful delivery from pre-construction through to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct large-scale hyperscale and mission-critical data centre projects, handling all phases from pre-construction to completion.
• Provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary teams, including Construction Managers, Project Managers and package leads.
• Take ownership of project performance, schedule adherence, commercial results, quality assurance, and overall client satisfaction.
• Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and essential stakeholders.
• Supervise planning, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover phases effectively.
• Manage project budgets, control costs, forecast finances, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies and recovery plans as necessary.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations throughout the project.
• Lead client meetings, executive progress reports, and status reviews regularly.
• Support contract management including administration, change control, and commercial negotiations alongside the commercial team.
• Foster collaboration among CSA, MEP, commissioning, and commercial teams to drive project success.
• Mentor and develop project personnel, promoting a high-performance work culture.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager coordinating large-scale mission-critical or hyperscale data centre projects.
• Background with Tier 1 or leading international General Contractors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of CSA, MEP systems and integrated project delivery methodologies.
• Proven track record managing projects exceeding USD 200 million in value.
• Strong expertise in commercial, contractual and programme management facets.
• Exceptional leadership aptitude, stakeholder engagement, and communication prowess.
• Experience in Design & Build contracting methods.
• Capacity to lead large multidisciplinary teams through all construction stages.
• Willingness to relocate to or operate from Dubai, UAE.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with hyperscale clients such as Microsoft, Google, AWS, Meta, or Oracle.
• International project delivery mark in the Middle East, Europe or Asia-Pacific regions.
• Capability in directing fast-track, mission-critical construction schedules.
• Familiarity with data centre commissioning and operational readiness processes.
